My least Favorite Story:

The Lady, Or the Tiger?

Image result for the lady or the tigerThis is my least favorite story because the end is unfinished and I stay with all curious to know what was wrong with the man. Besides reading it was very interesting but it was long and I hoped that the end was good but almost cry when I realized that there was no end. The good thing about this reading is that I could invent my own end my way. Another thing That I dislike is that man  only for having an affair with the princess had to open one of the two doors where he awaited death or live with a woman who does not love. I do not like sad endings. I wanted him to stay with the princess.

The Scarlet Ibis...
Important Elements,
Characters:
The narrator (Doddle's Brother), William "Doodle" Armstrong, Mama, Daddy, Aunt Nicey and The doctor.

THEME:
"The Scarlet Ibis" is a grim story, but it comes from a place of love, and kindness. Brother and Doodle, the two brothers who star in this story, have a loving mother, father, and aunt. Their home in North Carolina is a fantasy paradise for kids. Doodle, the younger brother, was born with a heart condition, and has physical limitations, especially when compared with his super-athletic older brother. Since cardiology, the branch of medicine that deals with the heart, was in its infancy in the early 1900s when the story is set, the family isn't quite sure how to deal with this issue, and tragedy ensues as a result. Brother's memory of Doodle is a labor of love he undertakes at the risk of not loving himself enough.
CONFLICT:
The narrator's little brother *Doodle* is born with disabilities and health conditions. The narrator is unable to accept his brother physical challenges.

Symbolism, Imagery, Allegory

RED.
There is lots of red going on here. The ibis itself is red. The "bleeding tree" makes us think of red. The bush beneath which Doodle dies is red. When Doodle is born his body is "red." Then there's this line: "He had been bleeding from the mouth, and his neck and the front of his shirt were stained a brilliant red." This is disturbing. It means Doodle is dead. It means he died alone, suffering.

My comment:
I like this story because it represent a part of me. In my family my big sister have a disease very strange but she is especial to me like Doodle. I think this story have a very important message for us because we don't have to feel different because we cant do something like the other people, each of us are special and no matter what we have to be happy. The life is not forever. Enjoy it.

Literature Class

In Literature class we read interesting readings and learn many things from those readings. One of the things that impress me about literature class is the way that we learn to analyze a story and we can see the important elements. Some of us sometimes relate with some of the readings that we find in our wonderful book of literature and these readings give us advices that we can apply to our lives, it makes us think, change us as a person. In my opinion we need literature in our life because we use it every day to express our feeling and actions so I'm very impress about this class.
